Will Meet Again With Conte, Ivan Perisic Officially Joins Tottenham Hotspur

JAKARTA - Ivan Perisic has officially joined Tottenham Hotspur. The Croatian international footbaler moved from Inter Milan on a free transfer.

He moved to England after his contract with Inter Milan expired at the end of this season. At Spurs, the 33-year-old player got a two-year contract until 2024.

"I'm really excited to start with the Spurs family. I can't wait to start playing and training and doing my best," Perisic said.

Perisic underwent a medical with the Premier League club on Monday and will join on a free transfer on July 1 when his contract with Inter expires.

The move to Spurs allows Perisic to work with coach Antonio Conte again. Previously, the two figures were included in the Inter team that won the Italian Serie A title in the 2020/2021 season.

"It is a privilege to work with a coach like this. I am very happy to see him again," Perisic said as quoted by BBC Sport.

Perisic played 49 times and scored 10 goals this season in all competitions for Inter. He also contributed to bringing Inter to win the Coppa Italia.

The Croatia international is Tottenham's first signing of the summer. He is likely to be followed by Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster, who is reportedly getting closer to Spurs.
