President Jokowi Leaves Message For PSSI And The Indonesian National Team: Football Must Give Better Achievements At The SEA Games Cambodia

JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian National Team has returned to the country on Monday, May 23, evening. The Garuda Muda squad was welcomed by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

The U-23 Indonesian national team has just returned from the "battle arena" at the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam. Marc Klok and his friends took home the bronze medal after beating Malaysia on penalties in the third place determination.

The Minister of Youth and Sports said that the government appreciates the hard work that has been done by the players. The man from Gorontalo then asked the U-23 national team to continue to improve their performance.

Zainudin Amali then conveyed the message that was entrusted by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and also the players of the U-23 Indonesian national team.

"The President's message during the next SEA Games in Cambodia 2023 is that Indonesian football can provide even better achievements," said the Menpora, in the ministry's official website.

The Golkar Party politician then added that his party invited PSSI to work together well in order to realize President Jokowi's message. He hopes that the preparation for the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia will be even better.

"Hopefully the results obtained can be improved again," said Menpora Zainudin Amali.
