Dozens Of Dancers Wearing Traditional Vietnamese Clothes Open The Closing Ceremony Of The 2021 SEA Games

JAKARTA - Dozens of dancers wearing traditional Vietnamese clothes, Ao Dai, opened the closing ceremony of the 31st SEA Games which was held at the Vietnam Asian Indoor Game, Hanoi, Vietnam, Monday night.

Exactly at 20.05 local time the lights were turned off while all eyes were on the stage as the LED screen flashed gold glitter and a number of dancers dressed in pink and white clothes filled the stage.

A pair of singers sang a song with a medium tempo dominated by trumpets. Next, below the stage, about 10 traditional three-wheeled vehicles such as tricycles enter the area below the stage.

A woman in a white Vietnamese dress waves from inside the traditional vehicle. When the vehicle came out, dozens of dancers wearing blue clothes entered the area below the stage, which was followed by 11 dancers carrying umbrellas from 11 countries participating in the 31st SEA Games.

"The opening of the closing ceremony depicts Hanoi as a city of peace, in accordance with the theme of the dance 'My Hanoi Your Love'," said the host, quoted by Antara.

Next, the presenter introduced one by one the participating countries of the SEA Games Vietnam accompanied by state flags starting with Brunei Darussalam and ending with the host country.

Vietnam sent its dearest and warmest farewell to all participants in the closing ceremony of the 90-minute Hanoi Vietnam SEA Games.

If the opening ceremony featured mass performances and spectacular visual effects, the closing would be a more comfortable and friendly event with the motto “come together to shine”.

The athletes have gone through many competitions and demonstrated their talents and abilities, so the closing ceremony will be a moment for everyone to honor and appreciate them, as well as to promote sportsmanship.

An indoor 580 meter long LED screen was installed for the event and there is a 611 square meter main stage in the center. There are also two stages on the side covering an area of 315 square meters to create the best sound and light effects.
