Defeating Sassuolo 3-0 In Mapei, AC Milan Won Scudetto 2021/2022

JAKARTA - AC Milan won the Italian Serie A season 2021/22 after beating Sassuolo 3-0 in the last weekend's match which took place at Mapei Stadium, Sunday.

Quoted by Antara, Monday, Olivier Giroud contributed two goals in this match, with the other goal contributed by Franck Kessie.

The addition of these three points makes Milan end the season at the top of the Italian League standings with 86 points. Inter Milan, which at the same time beat Sampdoria 3-0, had to finish as runners-up with 84 points.

This is the 19th Scudetto for Milan and at the same time won it from a city rival. The last time they got it was in the 2010/2011 season

Milan immediately appeared to attack even though it only needed one point to lock the title. Olivier Giroud poses a threat to Sassuolo's goal, but can still be saved by goalkeeper Andrea Consigli.

Rafael Leao almost broke into Sassuolo's goal in the 7th minute. In a free position, his shot ball is quickly blocked by the opponent.

After the break, Milan played more relaxed. Meanwhile, it was Sassuolo who appeared more aggressive by creating two chances in the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Rossoneri had added a fourth goal in the 78th minute through Zlatan Ibrahimovic's header. However, the goal was disallowed by VAR because it smelled of offside.

There are no additional goals until the referee finishes the match. Milan successfully closed it with a 3-0 win and ended the season as champions.
