Jakarta - Persija Jakarta officially signed Evan Dimas Darmono, a midfielder who previously strengthened Barito Putera. Evan became an additional strength for the team nicknamed the Kemayoran Tigers after they brought in Alfath Faathier, Otavio Dutra, and Rafli Mursalim.

After signing the contract at the Persija office, today, Evan will use the number six jersey during the match in the 2020 competition to defend the orange team.

Persija club president Ferry Paulus said the decision to recruit Evan was due to his undoubted quality. Ferry believes Evan's quality will make the Kemayoran Tigers solid.

"Yes, Evan has officially joined us for the 2020 competition. His quality is needed by the coaching team for various matches in 2020," Ferry said as quoted from Persija's official website.

He added that Persija and Evan Dimas' contracts were carried out for one season with an option to extend at the end of the season for the next three years.

In the 2019 competition, Persija is ranked tenth in the final standings. In fact, in the previous season, the team whose captain was Ismed Sofyan came out as the leader of the standings.
