In Order To Get Permission, IBL Operators Continue To Turn Off Health Protocols During Competitions

The IBL will implement strict health protocols.

JAKARTA - The continuation of the 2020 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) competition is in question marks. There was concern after PSSI postponed Liga 1 and Liga 2 because they did not get permission from the crowd.

The IBL operator is aware of the possibility that PSSI will have to postpone the continuation of the competition. However, they are reluctant to make a definite decision anytime soon.

IBL is still in accordance with the plan, namely holding a continuation of the competition on October 13, 2020. In order for the plan to take place, all means are done. Starting from coordinating with stakeholders to finalizing the preparation of health protocols.

In order to get permission from the government, in this case the police, the IBL operator is increasingly detailing the health protocol procedures that will be used when the competition takes place later. Call it a single seat policy for reserve players.

"We will use single seat seats with a distance between the seats not less than one meter," said IBL President Director, Junas Miradiansyah.

Not only for reserve players, the same applies to officials, match equipment and reporters who cover them. For journalists, the number is limited to one match.

"Fellow journalists also have to pass the body temperature measurement protocol, before entering the coverage area," said Junas.

The IBL director also said interviews with players after the match would be conducted virtually. There are no more than ten journalists in the press room.

Meanwhile, the players are in their own special room. Likewise when interviewing the coach.

"We will enforce the health protocol throughout the continuation of the IBL competition," concluded Junas.

Today, the IBL is still anxious. They certainly do not want the same fate as the canceled national football competition.
