27 Countries Have Qualified For The Qatar 2022 World Cup, 5 More

JAKARTA - The 2022 World Cup qualifiers continue to take place, so far 27 countries have confirmed themselves to appear in Qatar. Seven countries, including Cristiano Ronaldo's home country, Portugal, just got tickets to qualify on Wednesday, March 30 in the morning.

A number of countries that escaped from the match this morning were Portugal, Poland, Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco and Cameroon.

The Portugal national team secured a place in the 2022 World Cup finals after a 2-0 win over North Macedonia in the Euro 2022 World Cup Qualification play-off final.

Bruno Fernandes became the hero of Portugal's victory with two goals he scored. This means that if nothing goes wrong, Cristiano Ronaldo will take part in the 2022 World Cup.

Unfortunately, the success of Cristiano Ronaldo failed to be followed by Mohamed Salah. Early this morning, Egypt, was eliminated by Senegal in the second leg of the third round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in the African zone.

After meeting in two aggregate matches the two teams were still as strong as 1-1 which then made the match proceed to a penalty shootout. In this round, Egypt lost 1-3 to Senegal, so Mohamed Salah was confirmed to miss the 2022 World Cup.

Although there have been 27 countries that have qualified for the 2022 World Cup, there are still five vacant places available. On Thursday morning tomorrow, it will be known that two additional teams will qualify for the 2022 World Cup, to be precise from the CONCACAF zone (North and Central America).

Then, the other three slots were only discovered on June 15, 2022, in the early hours of Indonesian Western Time (WIB). Because on that date the European zone play-offs will be held which will bring together the winners of the Scotland or Ukraine match with Wales.

Furthermore, there is also an inter-confederation play-off that brings together the third-ranked Asian zone vs the fifth-ranked CONMEBOL zone (South America). One more playoff will pit the fourth-placed CONCACAF zone against the Oceania champions.
