JAKARTA - Ayustina Delia Priatna made history by taking the podium at the 2022 Asian Road and Para Cycling Championship after finishing the race in second place in the Women Elite category in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Sunday.

Ayustina finished the race with a time of 33 minutes 59.275 seconds, behind Kazakh Rinata Sultanova who came out as champion with a time of 33 minutes 24,632 seconds. The third position was won by Solongo Tserenlkham from Mongolia with a time of 35 minutes 04.082 seconds. Sport Scientist of the Indonesian cycling national team, Donny Ardy Kusuma, said that Ayustina became the first female athlete from Indonesia to successfully win a silver medal in the Women Elite category at the Asian Championships. This result is also a capital for Ayustina in preparation for the SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam which will be held on May 12-23.
