BOGOR - Proliga 2022 has entered the grand final. In the women's category, Gresik Petrokimia will face Bank BJB Tandamata Bandung.

The match between the two teams will take place at the Candradimuka Crater GOR Padepokan Police General Kunarto, Sentul, Bogor, Saturday, March 26, at 15.30 WIB.

This game is like a teacher-student duel. Gresik Petrokimia coach, Ayub Hidayat, is the "teacher" of the architect of Bank BJB Bandung, Alim Suseno. At that time, Ayub coached the East Java junior team during the 1997 and 1998 national championships, where Alim was a player.

"I used to be a junior East Java player who was coached by Bang Ayub. Coincidentally at that time we were the champions of East Java and I became the best spiker," said Alim, in a written statement.

"Bang Ayub used to be a coach. Now we are both coaches. He is my senior when off the field. On the field, we are both coaches," he continued.

Even though he respects his seniors, Alim still has ambitions to win in the future. "We are ready to win in the grand final later," he said.

This season the two teams have met several times. In the regular round, Gresik Petrokimia always won, both in the first and second rounds.

Meanwhile, in the final four, some time ago, Bank BJB won 3-2 even though it was 0-2 behind.

"We both know each other's strengths and weaknesses. So we are ready to beat Bank BJB Bandung," said Ayub.
