JAKARTA - Manchester United continues to hunt for a new manager candidate to replace Ralf Rangnick at the end of this season. There have been several names that have surfaced and been associated with the Red Devils.

Not long ago, Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, was mentioned as the main candidate. Now, not anymore.

Ajax Amsterdam coach, Erik Ten Hag, is reportedly Manchester United's main target at this time. The reason is, Ten Hag is very ready to leave his team at the end of this season, as reported by The Sun.

The reason is the coach is frustrated with the situation at Ajax because the club has sold the top players he trained. Call it Frenkie de Jong, Donny van de Beek, Matthijs de Ligt, and Antony.

It often makes Ten Hag have to build the squad from scratch again. Although in the end, he was still able to present two Eredivisie titles and two KNVB Cups.

This situation then makes Manchester United, who is busy looking for a new manager, a big opportunity. Ten Hag is considered to be very suitable to coach the club based at Old Trafford.

In the midst of MU's efforts to find a new coach candidate, Gary Neville had suggested the name Diego Simeone as the right candidate. However, the suggestion from the former Red Devils player was actually laughed at by Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler.

"I laughed this week when I heard Gary Neville shout that his former club should make Diego Simeone their next manager," Fowler said.
