F1 Bahrain GP: The Sad Fate Of Red Bull Racing

JAKARTA - Ferrari's Charles Leclerc won the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 (F1) race, Monday, March 21, early morning Indonesian Western Time (WIB). Leclerc became the champion with a time of 1 hour 37 minutes 33.584 seconds.

He was 5.598 seconds ahead of his teammate, Carlos Sainz. Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took third place on the podium.

This race is a bad day for Red Bull Racing. Their two drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, failed to finish for different reasons.

Verstappen had to stop racing three laps before the finish due to problems with his car. While Perez had an incident on the last lap, his car skidded at Turn 1.

"What happened was obviously very frustrating, but of course before that, there were already some problems," said Verstappen, as quoted from the official F1 website.

"Of course, you don't want this to happen and it's very painful for the team, because both cars failed to finish. We have to see everything," he added.

If Red Bull was crushed in the race this time, not so with Alfa Romeo. They managed to win points through their two drivers, namely Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.

Bottas finished sixth at the F1 Bahrain GP, while Zhou finished 10th. This is the second point since joining Alfa Romeo.
