Confirmed Negative For COVID-19, Jonathan Christie Ready To Fight At All England 2022?

JAKARTA – Indonesian men's singles player, Jonatan Christie, has tested negative for COVID-19 and is ready to fight at the All England 2022. He is also reportedly on his way to England to participate in the All England 2022.

The athlete, who is familiarly called Jojo, previously tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, March 10, the middle of last week. However, the latest test results confirmed the 24-year-old was already negative.

"Jonatan Christie, who was previously confirmed as positive for COVID-19, was finally declared negative after undergoing two PCR tests on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13," said the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI)'s PR staff, Deri Destan, in a written statement.

Jonathan tested positive while appearing at the German Open 2022. His test results came out after his defeat in the round of 16 match against the representative of Thailand, Kunlavut Vitidsarn.

In the match against Vitidsarn, Jojo already showed indications of being infected with COVID-19 in the second set. All the muscles feel stiff, especially in the thighs.

Jonathan Christie is reportedly going to England from Germany. There, he and several other Indonesian players will undergo another COVID-19 test before making preparations for the world's oldest event.

If you look at the available schedule, Jonatan Christie will face Danish representative Rasmus Gemke in the first round. This player from PB Tangkas has become one of Indonesia's mainstays in the men's singles number.

Besides Jonatan Christie, there are also Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito. The All England Championship itself will take place on March 16-20.
