JAKARTA – Mandalika SAG Racing Team racer Bo Bendsneyder admits he is confused about what topics he can discuss with President Joko Widodo when they are scheduled to meet on March 16.

Bendsneyder is now in Jakarta and ready to race at the Mandalika Circuit on March 18-20. Before the race, the Dutch rider is scheduled to meet Jokowi first and parade in Jakarta.

"I can't wait to meet the President (Joko Widodo). I'm still nervous and I don't know what to discuss. The point is I want to meet the President immediately,” said Bendsneyder at a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday, March 10.

The 23-year-old racer is one of 20 racers scheduled to meet with President Jokowi. In addition, his teammate in the Mandalika SAG Team, Gabriel Rodrigo, is also included in the list of 20 racers who will meet the former mayor of Solo.

Unlike his colleagues, Rodrigo admitted that he was very happy to meet the number. He admitted that the meeting schedule did not interfere with his preparation for the race.

"I hope he supports our team, because this is a good opportunity for Indonesian riders to go to MotoGP," said the Argentinean rider.

Bendsneyder and Rodrigo are eyeing points during the race at Mandalika later. Both are ready to give their best for the team after in the first series in Qatar they failed to contribute points because they finished 19th and 21st respectively.

Racing at Mandalika will be the first experience for the two drivers so they don't know for sure the character of the circuit. However, they have studied the Mandalika Circuit from YouTube.
