Video Of Men Similar To Shin Tae-yong Viral, Netizens Say Choose To Sell Fried Food After Canceling The U-23 AFF Cup

JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, has again become a netizen conversation. This time, there was a viral video circulating that showed a man similar to himself busy selling fried foods.

The video clip was uploaded to the TikTok account @Destaaa6. In the video, the man whose face is said to resemble the Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong is frying tofu while wearing a mask, but only to the extent of his chin.

Completing the upload, the account owner who seemed to think the man was Shin Tae-yong also pinned a funny description. He said the coach was filling his spare time after the Indonesia U-23 national team was canceled for the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup which was scheduled to take place in Cambodia on February 14-26.

"After the Indonesian National Team canceled leaving for Cambodia, now Coach STY is looking to sell tofu," wrote the @Destaaa6 account.

The post was also widely commented on by netizens who agreed that the merchant did have the same face as the South Korean coach. Not only that, comments also appeared with the majority of them being funny and joking.

Apart from the viral video of a man like Shin Tae-yong selling tofu, the U-23 Indonesian national team was indeed forced to cancel participating in the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup.

The main obstacle to the cancellation was the Covid-19 storm and injuries that hit the Garuda Muda squad, leaving only a few players ready to compete.

The decision to withdraw made the Indonesian U-23 national team certainly failed to defend the title in the biennial event. In fact, in the 2019 edition, the Garuda Muda squad is the defending champion.
