Thailand Women's National Team Bend Four Goals Without Reply By Thailand In The 2022 Women's Asian Cup

JAKARTA – The Indonesian women's national team lost again in the 2022 Women's Asian Cup Group B. They were beaten by Thailand with a score of four goals without reply.

Thailand appeared dominant in the match which took place at DY Patil Sports Stadium, India, Monday, January 24. Kanyanat Chetthabutr became the star of the victory by picking up three goals.

The player with the number 13 back gave his team the advantage in the 27th minute. He was not guarded in the penalty box so he freely continued his partner's bait from a corner with a header.

Nine minutes later, he broke into Indonesia's goal again. This goal stems from Jaruwan Chaiyarak's breakthrough bait received by Taneekarn Dangda.

Dangda then accelerated into the box before sending a cross to Chetthabutr. Sweet bait is completed with a left footed shot.

After trailing by two goals in the first half, Indonesia tried to get up after the break. Unfortunately, Rudy Eka Priyambada's team had to lose main goalkeeper Fani Supriyanto.

The 17-year-old had to be sent off after sustaining an injury while trying to deny opposing players in a one-on-one position.

After losing Fani, the Indonesian women's national team's goal conceded two more goals. Chetthabutr managed to add a goal in the 71st, followed by Irravadee Makris' goal five minutes later to complete the goal party for the team nicknamed Chaba Kaew.

This was Indonesia's second loss from two group stage matches. Previously, Garuda Pertiwi suffered a crushing 18-0 defeat to Australia in the inaugural match which took place on January 21.

This result makes Indonesia still the caretaker of the group standings. Meanwhile, Thailand, who got three points, rose to the second position in the group, trailing the Philippines in third.

Indonesia will face the Philippines in the last match of the preliminary round. The match will take place on Thursday, January 27 this week.
