Persija Jakarta Faces Two Additional Matches In The Fourth Series Of League 1, The Most Anticipated Persib Meet

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta received two additional matches in the fourth series of Liga 1 2021/2022 which will be held again in Bali. One of them faced their arch rival, Persib Bandung.

Quoted from Persija's official website on Monday, January 24, the first additional match was against Barito Putera on February 22. Meanwhile, the match against Maung Bandung was held on February 27.

In fact, the Kemayoran Tigers will only face nine matches in this fourth round. But then Ricky Simanjuntak cs had to finish 11 matches.

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of the competition decided to change the schedule for Persija's four matches in this fourth series. The match that will experience a schedule shift is the sixth match to the ninth match which will be postponed one day.

The match against Arema FC, which was supposed to be held on Friday, February 4th, had to be shifted to the 5th. Meanwhile, the meetings against Madura United were set to take place on Wednesday (9 February), Persebaya on Monday (14 February) and Persik on Friday (18 February).

Meanwhile, Persija's two closest matches, cons Persita and Persiraja, are still on the normal schedule. The first match against Persita took place on Wednesday 26 January followed by Persiraja on Sunday 30 January.

Currently, the Kemayoran Tigers are still stuck in eighth place in the 2021/2022 Indonesian League 1 standings with a collection of 29 points from 20 matches.

Persija appeared unsatisfactory in the first three matches of the fourth series of the 2021/2022 Indonesian League 1. They won victory over PSIS Semarang and were defeated by Persipura Jayapura.
