JAKARTA - The Premier League has granted Newcastle United's request to postpone the match against Everton which was originally scheduled to take place at Goodison Park, Thursday.
The league confirmed that Newcastle currently do not have enough squad (13 players and one goalkeeper) to travel to Everton due to soaring COVID-19 cases and injuries.

The decision means that three matches in the Week 20 series have been suspended for the same reason. Previously, Leeds United vs Aston Villa and Arsenal vs Wolverhampton matches have also been postponed.
In all at least 16 matches throughout December have been suspended due to COVID-19.
