JAKARTA - The second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals between Indonesia and Singapore at Bishan Stadium, Singapore will take place on Saturday, December 25 at 19.30 WIB.

A 1-1 draw in the previous match is believed to make the match going on fiercely with high tension. The reason is, both teams have a great chance to advance to the final.

Shin Tae-yong said he didn't think the match would end in a penalty shootout. Because he was optimistic about winning, the national team coach did not prepare the penalty taker.

"I don't think this match will be decided on penalties," Shin Tae-yong said during an online press conference, Friday, December 24.

"Indeed there could be a penalty shootout. That was not my plan, so I did not prepare players for it (to be the executor)," he continued.

In the first leg the Indonesian national team closed the match with a 1-1 draw. Whereas in the first half the Garuda squad took the lead through Witan Sulaeman's goal, which took advantage of Asnawi Mangkualam's assist.

However, due to the defense that began to be careless in the second half, Singapore was able to equalize through Ikhsan Fandi towards the end of the match.

If in the second leg the result is a draw again, the fight will be continued with two 15 minutes of extra time. If that does not change the situation, the determination of the team that advances to the final will be settled on a penalty shootout.
