Marquez Is Still Suffering From A Diplopia Injury, Repsol Honda Is Patiently Waiting For The Rider To Recover

JAKARTA - Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez is currently still absent from the race agenda due to a diplopia injury. Nevertheless, Repsol Honda is still patiently waiting for the rider to recover and return to the track.

Quoted from Crash, Tuesday, November 30, this was conveyed by the manager, Alberto Puig. He said, in a situation like this they can only be patient.

"I think the key is like I said, in difficult things like this, we have to be patient", said Puig.

“Patience is rare in a sport like this. But that's how it is, we have to be patient and wait for him (Marquez) to be lucky and fit again."

An accident during motocross practice was the initial reason Marquez had to miss the second race at Misano. Because of the incident, Marquez was even declared to have suffered a mild concussion.

Not only that, during a follow-up examination, it turned out that the doctor also said that Marquez had a diplopia injury or visual impairment.

Regarding Marquez's current condition, Puig said that a similar incident had been experienced by the rider in 2011. Because Marquez's injury was not a severe injury to the bone but to the tissue, the team had to calmly wait for recovery.

"Yes, it's an injury very similar to 2011 with Moto2 in Sepang (Malaysia)", said Puig.

"It's not a bone (injury) it's something more complicated. It's more subtle. It's something you have to calm down and see how this (recovery) goes", he explained.

Before this, Marquez had also been sidelined from the championship for almost a year. At that time he was forced to miss a moment due to a broken right arm.

This condition forced him to miss the opening race of the season and was only able to appear in the third series which was held in Portugal. When returning to the track after the injury, Marquez showed a good improvement by recording three wins and one podium from 14 race series.
