There Is No Agreement Between Ralf Rangnick And Man United Yet, They Want To Respect Lokomotiv Moscow

JAKARTA - Manchester United is still waiting for the arrival of Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford. So far, no agreement has been reached and discussions are still ongoing as both United and Rangnick want to respect Lokomotiv Moscow.

Manchester United will appoint Rangnick as interim coach on a six-month contract. The German coach replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was sacked last week.

Solskjaer was sacked as United coach after a 4-1 away loss to Watford which left them eighth in the league table with 17 points from 12 games.

Quoted from social media of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Rangnick told United's board he would accept this temporary job only if future 'consultation' with powers on club options would be included in the deal. The Red Devils are ready to accept this condition.

However, Reuters reports, as quoted by Antara, that Rangnick, who is currently head of sport and development for Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow, will be given the role of consultant to the club for two years after United find a permanent coach.

Even so, Rangnick will not be in charge of United when they face Chelsea in the Premier League clash this weekend due to work permit reasons. In addition, he is also still tied to Lokomotiv.

The Red Devils will still be led by Michael Carrick in that match.

Rangnick himself has coached Hannover, Schalke, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
