JAKARTA - PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) held a manager meeting with League 1 participating clubs, Friday, August 7, 2020 in Jakarta. All clubs fulfill the invitation from PT LIB who wants to find the best solution related to the continuation of the competition.

President Director of PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita said the meeting was productive and constructive. He also stated that all clubs will follow the League 1 competition which will be rolled out on October 1.

"God willing, everyone will participate," said Akhmad Hadian to VOI via text message. "I felt that way earlier."

As is known, there are five clubs that have not agreed to continue the competition amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They are Persebaya Surabaya, Persipura Jayapura, Persita Tangerang, Barito Putera, and Persik Kediri.

Akhmad revealed, from several of these clubs, only Persipura has determined their home in the next competition. The club, nicknamed Black Pearl, chose Malang as its homebase.

"Only Persipura has stated the place of homebase, another in the near future," he said.

As is known, the League 1 competition will begin on October 1 by implementing strict health protocols. The match will be held without spectators and centered on the island of Java.
