Zinedine Zidane And Erik Ten Hag Refuse To Coach Manchester United

JAKARTA - Former Real Madrid coach who is currently vacant, Zinedine Zidane, has again stated that he refuses to coach Manchester United. Not only Zidane, Ajax coach Erik Ten Hag also admitted that he was not interested in dealing with Cristiano Ronaldo et al.

The Red Devils are on the hunt for a new coach after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shortly after a 4-1 loss at Watford.

Zidane has long been linked with Old Trafford, but Spanish daily El Partidazo de COPE said Zidane was not interested in managing Man United.

Despite Emmanuel Petit revealing his former team-mate is studying English, Zizou reportedly doesn't want to coach United and his wife Veronique doesn't want to stay in Manchester.

Another name that MU is targeting is Ajax Amsterdam manager Erik Ten Hag. However, Ten Hag firmly emphasized that he was only focused on Ajax and did not care about the rumors that circulated.

"I'm focused on this team. We want to achieve a lot of things and that's what I'm focused on,” said Ten Hag after his team thrashed RKC Waalwijk 5-0 in matchday 13 of the Eredivisie, Monday, November 22.

"This is where my concentration is now, the rest is just a distraction. I hope the players are at Ajax, and I have to set an example," he continued.

"I don't know anything about the rumours. I haven't heard anything, so I don't have to worry about that at all. I'm just focused on Ajax."

For the time being Michael Carrick became the interim coach to replace Solskjaer who received a dismissal compensation of 7.5 million pounds (Rp. 143.9 billion).
