JAKARTA - The new board of the Indonesian Anti-Doping Institute (LADI) held a meeting with the Doping Control Officer (DCO). The agenda was carried out as one of the efforts to accelerate the lifting of sanctions imposed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Deputy Chairperson of LADI, Rheza Maulana said that the meeting with the DCO was the right step. Because, it will help speed up and ease sanctions.

"We think yesterday's meeting was a very appropriate step," said Reza when contacted by VOI, Friday, November 19.

"The meeting was held to jointly consolidate and synergize to meet any sanctions or problems that WADA expects us to solve," he continued.

In the meeting which took place last Thursday at the Wisma Kemenpora, Jakarta, there were several things that were seriously discussed between LADI and DCO.

The discussions included evaluating the implementation of PON and Peparnas, planning for the completion of the Q3Q4 OOCT TDP acceleration, discussing DCO recertification and signing the renewal of the MOU and the Integrity Pact.

Furthermore, Rheza also said that the meeting was conducted as an administrative requirement requested by WADA. He also hopes that through the meeting a vision and mission can be achieved that can relieve and abolish sanctions.

"As for the above (meeting with DOC) it is part of the administrative requirements of WADA that must be met," continued Rheza.

“With yesterday's meeting, we hope that the vision and mission will be achieved. Then we will solve all the existing problems, "said Rheza.

Previously, WADA imposed a sanction because LADI was considered undisciplined in undergoing a predetermined list of doping tests. It was later discovered that the problem arose because of a change in management at LADI which more or less affected the schedule that had been made.
