Results Of Indonesia Masters 2021 Day Two: 8 Red And White Representatives Are Qualified For The Second Round

JAKARTA - Eight of the 18 Red and White players and pairs who appeared on the second day of the 2021 Indonesia Masters in Nusa Dua, Bali, Wednesday, followed the previous representatives who had already qualified for the second round of the Super 750 level tournament.

Meanwhile, the women's doubles, Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu, will definitely qualify for the round of 16 without having to compete. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist benefited from a bye in the first round.

As for Wednesday's match, only seven representatives made it through the first round. Meanwhile, in the women's doubles, Fitriani/Yulia Yosephine Susanto immediately qualified for the second round after their opponents, Febby Valenci Dwijayanti Gani/Jesita Putri Miantoro, withdrew.

Meanwhile, other players had to struggle through the first round of the Indonesia Masters 2021, such as the men's singles Jonatan Christie. Jojo, as he is known, was forced to play three games against Thailand's Sitthikom Thammasin to win 21-18, 20-22, 21-16.

However, fifth seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting had a different fate, who was forced to surrender to another Thai representative, Kunlavut Vitidsarn 21-19, 14-21, 13-21.

The bitter pill must also be swallowed by Indonesia's mainstay mixed doubles, Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti. The second seed was silenced by the non-seeded Indian pair, Dhruv Kapila / Reddy N. Sikki in two straight games.

However, the mixed doubles still leaves Hafiz Faizal/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja and Adnan Maulana/Mychelle Crhystine Bandaso.

From the women's doubles sector, Indonesia had to lose three representatives, namely Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Ribka Sugiarto and Nita Violina Marwah/Putri Syaikah, and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.

While in the women's singles sector, Indonesia failed to get a single representative to the second round after Gregoria Mariska Tunjung was knocked out by Japan's eighth seed Sayaka Takahashi.

Men's doubles became the sector that sent the most representatives to the next round. The two pairs following Marcus/Kevin are Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan, and one non-training athlete Panjer Aji Siloka/Rryan Sidney Elohim.
