The Struggle Of Fadia/Ribka At The Indonesia Masters Was Stopped By The Thai Couple

JAKARTA - The struggle of Siti Fadia Ramadhanti/Ribka Sugiarto in the first round of the Indonesia Masters was forced to stop after being defeated by Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Taerattanachai in the rubber game in Nusa Dua, Bali, Wednesday.

After struggling for one hour and eight minutes, Fadia/Ribka had to admit the women's doubles advantage from Thailand with a score of 13-21, 21-15, 16-21.

"In the first game, we lost because we were not prepared, in the second game we could only control the match. When the third game was ahead but there was a movement error until Rebekah was injured, it finally affected our game," said Fadia, as reported by Antara, Wednesday.

He recounted that his co-star had been experiencing pain in his leg from the start of the third game while trying to make a return shot in the front area of the net.

Even though they had excelled in the first interval with a score of 11-5, in fact the injury affected the second game. Even Rebekah was forced to miss the press conference session because she had to receive medical treatment after the match.

However, Fadia praised Fadia's fighting spirit which was considered very impressive, even though she was sick, she still struggled and did not let her opponent get points easily.

"In the third game, when he changed fields, he already felt pain, it could be seen from his facial expression that he was surprised when he took the wrong shot, but he still insisted on playing," Fadia recounted.

Due to the emergence of physical problems, their game became unable to develop so they had to end up losing to Puttita / Sapsiree.

Technically, Fadia assessed that the two partners already knew each other's game patterns because in the European tournament last month they had also met twice.

With knowledge about the opponent, Fadia is not surprised if his meeting with Puttita/Sapsiree always takes place in a rubber game.

"I understand more about their weaknesses and shortcomings, that's why every meeting is definitely rubber. It's no different from the two meetings in Europe, the pattern is still the same. Maybe they are more prepared today, while we are the ones who die alone," said Fadia.
