JAKARTA - After stepping into Depok City, BYD Indonesia continues to continue its commitment to supporting access to education for Indonesian children, through the Small Steps for Tomorrow program which took place in

Through this program, BYD provides a total of 1,200 pairs of shoes and school bags for students in need to support their daily journey to school.

This program reaches a total of 12 schools which are carried out gradually in a number of cities and regions such as Bekasi, Bogor, Depok, Serang, Semarang, Kediri, Bali, to Lampung to reach students in need.

President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, stated that for a sustainable company it is not only about how technological innovation continues to develop, but also about how the benefits and positive impacts can be felt by the wider community, including the younger generation.

"In line with the vision of the Government of Indonesia in building the future generation, BYD is committed to continue to be a long-term partner in strengthening the education journey of Indonesian children. In conjunction with the momentum of the launch of BYD M6 DM today, BYD takes the next step to expand its positive impact through the Small Steps for Tomorrow program," he said, when met in Senayan, some time ago.

"Every BYD vehicle sold is also part of our contribution to expanding the reach of this program. Together with our partners and BYD dealer network, we will expand the reach of this program to 45 cities in Indonesia so that it can reach more schools and students according to their needs," he added.

For BYD, the future is not only shaped through technological innovation, but also through investment in the generation that will be the driving force for change. The belief in empowering the younger generation and developing future talent has become an important part of BYD's philosophy in bringing about a sustainable positive impact on society.

As a tangible manifestation of this commitment, in 2024 BYD donated RMB 3 billion or equivalent to around Rp7.9 trillion for education to support the advancement of education and technology development.

Not only through formal education, BYD also continues to take a role in building young talent through various fields. Since 2025, BYD has supported the China Football Boys program in their journey to compete at the international level.

In an effort to maintain environmental sustainability, BYD also initiated mangrove planting activities with BYD users. Through collaboration with the community, this activity is a tangible step in supporting the preservation of the ecosystem and increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining the environment.

Apart from social and environmental contributions, BYD also continues to encourage the development of knowledge and innovation through education programs. Through the "BYD Goes to Campus" Technology Roadshow, BYD shares insights on new energy vehicle technology to students at three leading national universities, as part of efforts to introduce future technologies and open up space for young generations to understand the development of the electrification industry.
