Get to know the ADAS features of the Suzuki e Vitara that help make driving safe and comfortable

JAKARTA - Suzuki e Vitara is one of the new highlights of the S-logo brand at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show. This environmentally friendly car is also equipped with various Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technologies designed to make driving more comfortable.

As automotive technology progresses, ADAS is now an increasingly needed feature for drivers. Its presence not only supports long-distance travel, but also provides additional comfort and safety when driving in stop and go conditions typical of urban roads.

President Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, Minoru Amano, said that the e Vitara was designed to provide a comprehensive balance that suits the needs of Indonesian consumers.

"We built it with high precision to provide a balance between performance, efficiency, safety, and comfort that is relevant to the needs of Indonesian consumers," said Minoru Amano at the 2026 IIMS.

One of the ADAS features that stands out on the Suzuki e Vitara is Adaptive Cruise Control. This technology is able to set the vehicle speed automatically following the speed of the vehicle in front, including adjusting up to 0 km/h.

With this ability, this feature can still be used during severe traffic jams, thus helping to reduce driver fatigue. In addition, e Vitara is also equipped with Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) II.

This system uses millimeter wave radar sensors and a monocular camera to detect vehicles, pedestrians, motorcyclists, and even bicycles in front of the car. When a potential collision is detected, the system will provide an audio and visual warning.

If the driver's braking response is judged to be insufficient, automatic braking assistance will be activated to slow down the vehicle. Even when the risk of collision increases, the system will apply automatic braking to help reduce the impact of the collision and minimize damage.

As a complement, the Suzuki e Vitara is also equipped with a Blind Spot Monitor feature. This technology works through a millimeter wave radar sensor in the rear bumper to detect vehicles in the blind spot area.

When the vehicle is detected, a warning icon will appear in the rearview mirror. If the driver turns on the turn signal in that direction, a visual warning will flash accompanied by an audio warning as an additional reminder.

Regarding other specifications, the Suzuki e Vitara is built using the HEARTECT-e platform, which was developed specifically for electric vehicles. This structure allows for optimal weight distribution, increased aerodynamic efficiency, and a wider cabin space.

e VITARA is equipped with a 61 kWh Lithium Iron-Phosphate (LFP) battery, combined with a 128 kW electric motor and 193 Nm torque through a front-wheel-drive eAxle system. This electric SUV also supports DC fast charging, which allows charging from 15 percent to 80 percent in about 50 minutes.

Suzuki plans to start distributing the e Vitara to Indonesian consumers in February 2026. The DKI Jakarta OTR price is IDR 755 million (single tone) and IDR 758 million (two tone). The launch of the e VITARA is part of the company's efforts to support the transition to low-emission mobility in Indonesia.
