Honda Announces New H Logo for Global Car Business, Ready to Use Starting 2027

JAKARTA - Honda Motor Co., Ltd announced that it will adopt the H Logo with an updated design as a new symbol that represents Honda's car business in the future.

Since it was first used in 1963 as a symbol of Honda vehicles, the H logo has consistently represented Honda's car products and business activities, with a number of design updates made as time progressed.

This update is not without reason, because it is in line with the development of the next generation of electric cars, including the Honda 0 Series, which was developed with the determination to create a new EV from 'zero' by going back to Honda's starting point as an automotive manufacturer.

The latest H logo design reflects Honda's commitment to corporate transformation, as well as Honda's approach to continue adapting and delivering relevant innovations according to customer needs.

"Its shape resembling two outstretched hands symbolizes Honda's commitment to expanding the possibilities of mobility and serving customer needs sincerely," the company said in a statement, in its official statement received, Wednesday, January 14.

H Mark is scheduled to be applied to the next generation of electric vehicles, as well as the next generation of hybrid-electric (HEV) models, starting with models that will be introduced to the market from 2027 onwards. In addition to products, Honda will also expand the use of the new H logo as the identity of the Honda car business as a whole, including at dealer networks, communication activities, and motorsports activities for cars.

The automotive industry is currently undergoing a major transformation through electrification and the application of smart technology. The new H logo will represent Honda's "second foundation", which is carried out with a strong commitment to lead change in the midst of this transformation, by presenting new values that are more relevant to customers through technology and innovation, without abandoning Honda's character and DNA.
