JAKARTA - Hyundai Motor Company officially launched the Staria Electric at the Brussels Motor Show, marking a step forward in MPV vehicle innovation from the South Korean manufacturer.
Hyundai Motor Europe CEO Xavier Martinet revealed that the company continues to expand its electric vehicle offerings to meet the daily mobility needs in Europe, including the Staria Electric which brings Hyundai's expertise that is already known and trusted by many customers.
"Staria Electric brings our EV expertise to a vehicle that many customers already know and trust, combining impressive space and flexibility with a new high-voltage fast charging system and an updated interior to deliver practical and efficient electric mobility for real-world use across Europe," he said, quoted from the official website, Sunday, January 11.
In terms of design, this model brings the Staria design language to the electric era based on Hyundai's 'Inside-Out' approach, which expands the space and openness of the interior design to the exterior, creating a distinctive exterior image with high technology sensitivity. The typical one-curve silhouette, low waistline, and wide glass surface create a different look while forming the basis for the vehicle's spacious interior space.
The spacious cabin with an open feel and strong freedom of movement is the core of the Satria Electric's appeal. Its flat floor, wide interior dimensions, and intelligent seating arrangement create a lounge-like atmosphere that allows passengers to relax and move easily.
The interior adapts seamlessly to changing needs, from daily commuting and family travel to professional passenger transport and recreational activities, not least because it is equipped with two 12.3-inch screens for a better user experience.
Staria Electric is equipped with an 84 kWh battery that can travel 400 km, and a 160 kW electric motor that drives the front wheels. The 800 volt electrical system allows high power flow with minimal heat generation, enabling fast repeated charging and reliable performance on long journeys.
On long journeys, short charging is very meaningful. Under optimal DC fast charging conditions, Staria Electric can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes.
Currently, Hyundai Indonesia has already presented Staria but is still equipped with a diesel engine and priced at Rp. 954.8 million. Will Staria Electric soon be available in Indonesia?
