RMA Hands Over Four Cars From India To The Ministry Of Defense To Help Sumatra Flood Disasters

JAKARTA - RMA Indonesia showed a real concern for the flash floods and landslides that hit a number of areas in Sumatra, at the end of last November. The Mahindra brand holder agent handed over four 4x4 double cabin pickup units to the Ministry of Defense.

The handover of the Mahindra Scorpio car is also the result of collaboration with PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. This massive hydrometeorological disaster has caused damage to infrastructure and isolated many villages, making the distribution of aid very difficult.

The delivery of this tough fleet is a concrete step to help the government strengthen responses in the field, as well as facilitate the mobilization of humanitarian logistics to areas that are difficult to reach. On the other hand, as well as strengthening the company's strategic collaboration with government institutions.

"We hope that the Mahindra vehicle unit, which is known to be tough in all fields, can accelerate logistics distribution and reach our brothers and sisters, especially in several areas in Aceh that are still isolated, so that aid can be distributed quickly and appropriately," he continued.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense said that the car would be immediately taken to areas affected by the disaster. He also hopes that logistics distribution can be easier because the car has a strong performance,

"Of course we hope to be able to help in the three affected areas," he said.

Regarding the specifications, Mahindra Scorpio Double Cabin is equipped with a turbo diesel engine with a capacity of 2,200 cc. The heart is capable of releasing 140 cellphones and 320 Nm of torque.

Not only that, this Indian manufacturer has also installed a 4x4 driving system. So that drivers can face various extreme road conditions.

This is important because the evacuation route continues to change from damaged asphalt to extreme mud fields. The car also has a rear cabin that allows logistics to be distributed to disaster-affected communities.
