Initial Production Of Ora 03 In Indonesia, TKDN Touches 40 Percent

JAKARTA - The Indonesian GWM Inchcape has officially started local production of the ORA 03 Electric Car at the Inchcape manufacturing facility, as well as an important milestone in strengthening the national automotive industry while accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia.

The initiative is the result of a strategic collaboration between Inchscope, Great Wall Motor (GWM), and the Government of Indonesia, which targets the strengthening of Indonesia's position as a major player in the global electric vehicle ecosystem.

APAC Inchcape CEO, Phil Jenkins, emphasized that the start of production of ORA 03 in Indonesia shows the company's confidence in the huge potential of the domestic market. He called Indonesia the main pillar of the Inchcape strategy in the Asia Pacific region.

"As GWM partners and hosts of local manufacturing initiatives, we see that Indonesia has a scale, capability, and ambition. Our job is to present world-class products, services without obstacles, and the best connection for Indonesian consumers," he said, in an official statement received, Tuesday, November 25.

On the same occasion, the CEO of Inchcape GWM Indonesia, Bagus Susanto, stated that the initial local production of ORA 03 is a clear proof of the company's commitment to supporting the transformation of the national automotive industry. According to him, Indonesia has strong potential both in terms of market growth and readiness of the manufacturing ecosystem.

By being assembled locally, the ORA 03 electric car has also recorded a domestic content level (TKDN) of more than 40 percent. This achievement shows the commitment of Indonesia's GWM Inchscope to government localization policies and strengthens the national supply chain.

The assembly process is carried out following global GWM standards with the support of high-tech quality testing facilities to ensure each unit meets international safety and performance standards.

As is known, ORA 03 is offered at a price of IDR 369 million, this car comes with a modern retro design that displays an unusual impression, especially supported by leading technology.
