Mitsubishi Returns To British Automotive Market In 2026, Presents Hybrid Model

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Motors has certainly returned to enliven the British market in mid-2026 after stopping the sale of new cars in the country since 2021. This decision was announced by International Motors Ltd (IM Ltd), a company that is again trusted as an importer and official distributor of the Mitsubishi brand in the UK.

In the early stages, Mitsubishi plans to bring a number of hybrid models that are considered in accordance with European market characteristics. These includeANG, ASX, and Outlander.

The full electric-powered version is scheduled to follow after the hybrid series begins to be marketed. Currently, Mitsubishi operates more than 100 points of full-sale services spread across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The network will be expanded through the opening of a new special dealer that will start operating in the summer of 2026. The plans that have been prepared in recent years also include the re-arrival of the Mitsubishi SUV and pickup lines.

However, the list of models that will enter has not been disclosed in detail. Mitsubishi's return to the UK itself is an important momentum for the brand after five years of absence from new car sales in the region.
