Support The Environmentally Friendly Public Transportation Ecosystem, Hyundai Electric Bus Will Operate In Bali

Hyundai was chosen as the winner in an open tender organized by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) for the electric bus procurement project in Bali, Indonesia.

In this project, GGGI, which is an international institution in the environmental sector, held an open tender last August for the procurement of electric buses in Bali. With the support of the Korean government, GGGI is currently running an electric vehicle project and is preparing a roadmap for environmentally friendly transportation.

The election of Hyundai as the winner of the tender is not without reason, the brand has received a high assessment of the competitiveness of the quality of electric vehicles, full-sales service, and experience in environmentally friendly-oriented ODA projects.

Hyundai Motor Asia-Pacific President Sunny Kim said it was a great honor for Hyundai to present the first electric bus for public transportation in Bali, one of the world's most iconic tourist destinations.

"This achievement reflects our strong commitment to supporting Indonesia's transition to sustainable mobility. We will also continue to encourage the development of environmentally friendly public transportation in various big cities in Indonesia," he said, in an official statement received, Wednesday, November 12.

Previously, in November last year, Hyundai Motor had also presented the County Electric electric bus for public transportation in Surabaya.

Through this tender, Hyundai will again supply 10 units of electric bus County Electric in Bali, making it the first electric bus to be used for public transportation on the island.

Through this initiative, Hyundai is committed to supporting environmentally friendly tourism policies in Bali that focus on sustainable development, as well as expanding the provision of electric buses in the future.
