Mitsubishi Fuso Shows Long-Term Commitment Through The Industrial Ecosystem In The Country

JAKARTA Mitsubishi Fuso has been present for more than five decades in Indonesia and continues to maintain consumer confidence through tough, quality, and reliable commercial vehicles. This brand is also committed to contributing to Indonesia's progress by creating comprehensive solutions from upstream to downstream.

Real evidence of this commitment can be seen from the steps taken by PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the authorized distributor of the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) trading vehicle, which has succeeded in building an independent industrial ecosystem in Indonesia.

The company affirms that each Mitsubishi Fuso product line goes through a very thorough selection and testing process to ensure consumers in Indonesia get vehicles with a high level of precision, safe, comfortable, and have the best performance.

The Mitsubishi Fuso assembly facility was carried out at PT Krama Yudha Ratu Motor (KRM) and PT Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Motors and Manufacturing (MKM). This ecosystem is also supported by around 100 local supplier companies as component providers. The facility is not only a form of capital investment, but also a means of technology transfer and knowledge to strengthen the national automotive industry as a strategic production base. KRM itself plays an important role in supporting the strengthening of the national automotive ecosystem.

Sales and Marketing Director of PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, Aji Jaya, expressed his pride because for 55 years Mitsubishi Fuso has contributed to creating job opportunities for thousands of Indonesians, both directly in production facilities and indirectly throughout its ecosystem network.

"This proves that Mitsubishi Fuso not only sells products, but also becomes part of Indonesia's development," he said during a Mitsubishi Fuso factory visit in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, Wednesday, November 12.

On this occasion, Mitsubishi Fuso invited media crews, including the VOI team, to see firsthand the process of making commercial vehicles at the KRM factory. Each product assembled in this facility passes a careful and detailed production stage to ensure the resulting vehicles are safe, comfortable, and have optimal performance in supporting logistics and national transportation needs.

The KRM factory is also a tangible manifestation of Mitsubishi Fuso's long-term commitment and investment in Indonesia.

Assembly on KRM

All Mitsubishi Fuso product lines, including Fighter X FM65F Tractor Head 4x2, are assembled by skilled and experienced Indonesian workers under the supervision of the Mitsubishi Fuso global quality control system. The assembly process is carried out entirely at the PT KRM facility, starting from the chassis assembly, engine installation, to the running test, to ensure that each unit meets the established performance and security standards.

As part of digitalization efforts, the President Director of PT Krama Yudha Ratu Motor, Duljatmono, explained that the company has implemented a QR code-based production tracking system in the cabin and chassis to monitor the progress and potential defect of each unit in real-time.

"We will develop this system into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as a strategic step towards a comprehensive integration between production processes," explained Duljatmono.

MES is designed to create a modern, adaptive, and efficient production process, while ensuring transparent and real-time data management, thereby increasing efficiency, accuracy, and production quality across lines.

As a form of commitment to quality and excellence, PT KRM has implemented IATF international standards 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015, which ensures that each production process runs consistently and meets global quality standards. In addition, PT KRM also places work safety aspects as a top priority in all operations.
