JAKARTA - Continuing the growth of electric vehicles in the country, BYD Indonesia greeted the eastern region by attending the GIIAS The Series Makassar event, which took place on November 5 at the Summarecon Mutiara Makassar Convention Center.

BYD's presence at GIIAS Makassar 2025 is an event to showcase the latest innovations, BYD's participation in this exhibition reflects the company's commitment to strengthening a collaborative and long-term oriented electric vehicle ecosystem.

"We see Sulawesi as one of the centers of strategic growth for electric vehicles in Indonesia. The expansion of the dealers network in Sulawesi is not just a business step, but a tangible form of our commitment to provide sustainable mobility that is inclusive and easily accessible to people throughout Indonesia," said President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia Eagle Zhao, in an official statement received, Thursday, November 6.

At the exhibition, BYD brought various mainstay models including Atto 1 which not only introduced products, but also provided a wider understanding of the benefits and ease of using electric vehicles (EVs).

Apart from being emission-free, EVs also offer operational costs that are much more efficient than conventional vehicles. There is no substitute for oil, busy, or combustion engine components, so that maintenance becomes simpler and also provides instant power with smooth and responsive acceleration.

With a quiet and noiseless cabin, the driving experience becomes calmer and more comfortable and ideal for Makassar's dynamic but activity-intensive urban life. This combination of efficiency, convenience, and convenience makes electric vehicles not only a symbol of technological advances, but also a practical choice for people who want to live more efficiently and care about the environment.

BYD targets more than 100 outlets by the end of 2025, expanding the range from western Indonesia to central and eastern regions that have great potential for electric vehicle growth. In the eastern region, BYD expanded its network through the presence of dealers in four major cities in Sulawesi, BYD HAKA Makassar, BYD HAKA Kendari, BYD HAKA Manado, and BYD HAKA Palu accompanied by the development of local human resource capacity.
