JAKARTA Electric car manufacturer from China, Xpeng, is getting more and more serious about expanding its wings to the global market. After strengthening its position in Western Europe, Xpeng has now officially announced its expansion to five new countries, namely Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia.
Reporting from CnEVpost, Friday, September 26, Xpeng collaborated with European mobility giant Hedin Group in Switzerland. Through this partnership, Xpeng is ready to launch two flagship SUVs, G6 and G9 in 2025, followed by the P7+ sedan in the first half of 2026.
The first retail outlet will open at Dielsdorf, and Xpeng targets to build 810 dealers by the end of 2025. The expansion will continue with an additional 1020 dealers by 2026. Seven existing Hedin locations will also be upgraded to Xpeng's official sales center and services.

Austria is the next country to be visited. Starting October, Xpeng will copy its successful strategy in Germany, presenting authorized dealers in major cities such as Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, and Klagenfurt. The target is that 10 dealers operate by the end of 2025 and increase to 20 locations by 2026.
Not only that, but Xpeng is also expanding its reach to Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. Operations in these three countries will be managed by joint ventures between the AutoWallis Group and Salvador Caetano Group, leveraging local networks to build services that include sales, shipments, and after-sales.
This massive expansion reflects Xpeng's ambition to make overseas markets the main pillar of its business. In the next 10 years, Xpeng targets global sales to contribute half of its total sales.
