Peugeot 3008 Hits 200,000 Units In Two Years, Electric Version A Popular Choice

JAKARTA – The Peugeot 3008 has reaffirmed its dominance in the European C-SUV segment. Since its debut in September 2023, this charismatic fastback SUV has continued to record impressive sales. This peak occurred on September 24, 2025, when the legendary Sochaux plant in France celebrated the production of the 200,000th unit of this model.

In its domestic market, France, the Peugeot 3008 even became the leader of the highly competitive C-SUV segment. This success demonstrates the appeal of its distinctive French design and advanced technology.

According to Stellantis, Thursday, September 25, one of the keys to the 3008's success is its comprehensive range of electric and electrified powertrains. The fully electric version, the Peugeot E-3008, contributes significantly to sales, accounting for approximately 22 percent of total sales. Furthermore, the GT variant is a customer favorite, accounting for 54 percent of total sales, highlighting its attractive design, futuristic Panoramic i-Cockpit®, and class-leading electric performance.

This model is built on the flexible STLA Medium multi-energy platform, allowing Peugeot to offer a variety of electrification options to suit customer needs. One of the most eye-catching variants is the E-3008 Long Range variant, with 230 hp and a range of up to 700 km based on the WLTP cycle—making it one of the electric SUVs with the best range on the market.

To boost consumer confidence, Peugeot offers the 3008 with the PEUGEOT CARE WARRANTY program, which provides coverage for up to 8 years or 160,000 km. This warranty is automatically extended free of charge every time the owner has a service performed at an authorized Peugeot network.

The Sochaux plant now employs over 6,500 employees and serves as Peugeot's main production center. The flexibility of its assembly line allows for the production of a wide range of body styles and powertrains, from internal combustion engines to hybrids to fully electric, meeting the high demand for the 3008 worldwide.

With the 200,000-unit milestone in just two years, along with a record-breaking 700 km range for the E-3008 Long Range, Peugeot is further strengthening its position as a leading player in the electrification era.
