Suzuki Victoris Wins NCAP Global Testing Perfect Star

JAKARTA - After successfully achieving the perfect star in the Bharat NCAP, the latest SUV from Suzuki, Victoris, proved his toughness by winning the 5 Global NCAP star under the latest and most stringent testing protocol.

Citing from Rushlane's website, Tuesday, September 16, the latest round of the Global NCAP collision test under a new, tighter protocol has revealed the strong performance of several popular models sold in India.

Leading the group was Maruti Suzuki Victoris, who had secured the highest Adult Safety score of 33.72 out of 34 points, along with 5-star rankings for Child Occupancy Protection (41/49).

Meanwhile, the hit test of this model managed to get 33.72 out of 34 points for Adult protection with a head, neck, chest, knees showing adequate protection.

NCAP Global Chief Executive Officer Richard Woods, said the five-star Victoris clearly demonstrated Maruti Suzuki's commitment to increasing security for its new model. This continues the trend set by Dzire which was launched last year which also reached five stars.

"We warmly welcome the involvement of Maruti Suzuki with the requirements of the new protocol for the NCAP Global. The result is a significant vehicle safety victory for automotive consumers in India," he said.

This result follows the rank of Bharat NCAP 5-star Victoris, strengthening its credentials as one of the safest SUVs in India. Offered with six air bags, ESC, pedestrian protection, and three-point seat belts for all passengers as standard, Victoris also provides an optional ADAS feature, making it ready for the future.

Victoris is Maruti Suzuki's second compact SUV after the company's first Grand Vitara and SUV to offer ADAS Level 2 in certain trims. With her strong performance in safety tests, Maruti aims to attract customers who prioritize technology and protection.
