Enlivened By Many New Brands, GIIAS Surabaya 2025 Officially Opened

JAKARTA - The largest series of exhibitions in Indonesia GIIAS 2025 or GIIAS The Series will be held again in Surabaya, starting August 27-31.

The inauguration was attended by the Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics Industry (ILMATE) of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, Setia Diarta, accompanied by the Acting Director General of Agro Industry, Putu Juli Ardika and Chairman of Gaikindo, Yohannes Nangoi and the Head of Exhibition Organizers, Rizwan Alamsjah.

Director General of ILMATE, Setia Diarta expressed support for the implementation of the 2025 GIIAS Surabaya, he revealed, the Ministry of Industry wholeheartedly supports the implementation of the 2025 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) Surabaya.

"Hopefully this event will continue and even expand the success that has been achieved at GIIAS 2025 in Tangerang, affirming the position of Surabaya as one of the strategic cities in the map of the Indonesian automotive industry," said Setia Diarta, in an official statement received on Wednesday, August 27.

On the same occasion, General Chairperson of Gaikindo Yohannes Nangoi, expressed his gratitude for the implementation of GIIAS Surabaya, which has been the 10th time in its implementation. He emphasized that the achievements of GIIAS Surabaya so far cannot be separated from the government's support both from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and also the East Java provincial government.

"GIIAS Surabaya is part of GAIKINDO's efforts to bring the development of the Indonesian automotive industry to the people of East Java. An important achievement that cannot be achieved without the full support of various parties," said Nangoi.

He further said, this year there are seven new brands from the four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicle categories present at the exhibition, as well as a clear proof of the enthusiasm and potential of the large automotive market in the East Java region.

There are a total of 30 motorized vehicle brands, including 21 passenger vehicle brands. Such as BAIC, BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, Denza, GAC AION, Geely, GWM, Honda, Jaecool, Lexus, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Seres, Suzuki, Toyota, Vinfast, and Wuling. There is also DFSK for the commercial vehicle category.

Meanwhile, the eight participating two-wheeled vehicle brands are Aprilia, Kupprum, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, United E-Motor, and Vespa. A total of 14 brands from the supporting industry are also confirmed to enliven the implementation of GIIAS Surabaya 2025.

During the five-day implementation, GIIAS Surabaya 2025 will present a variety of fun and an unfortunate automotive experience to miss.
