This prediction comes in a context where China's number of car brands increased dramatically from just more than 20 in the early 1990s to 84 in 2019. However, many of them are now in the status of the 'miracle company', with production operations suspended due to accelerated market consolidation.

He Xiaopeng said that the "elimination turnover" in China's automotive industry would peak around 2030. This reflects a very competitive and growing market landscape, where only high-innovation and efficiency companies can survive.

China's auto industry, which has been the largest market in the world since 2008, is currently dominated by domestic manufacturers focused on advanced electric vehicle (EV) technology and driving systems. This competition is getting more intense, especially with China's production capacity of more than 40 million internal fuel cars and around 20 million electric vehicles by the end of 2024.
