In the early stages, VinFast Tamil Nadu will focus on assembling two premium electric SUV models, namely VF 7 and VF 6. The initial capacity of the plant is 50,000 vehicles per year, which can be increased to 150,000 units per year to meet ever-increasing market demand.

With the launch of a factory in Tamil Nadu, VinFast is approaching its 2025 sales target of 200,000 vehicles and a long-term production target of 1 million vehicles per year by 2030.

It builds a strong foundation for sustainable growth and positions us to offer high-quality electric vehicles at competitive prices to Indian consumers," said VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau, in an official statement received on Tuesday, August 5.
He further said VinFast aims to develop it into VinFast's largest export center for South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. In fact, the company has received initial orders from several countries in the region.
"In close cooperation with the Tamil Nadu government, VinFast is trying to turn this region into the ' south Asian EV capital' to support our dynamic domestic market and wider regional ambitions," he added.
