Porsche Electric Car Sales Rise In The First Semester Of 2025, Tigers Become Mainstay

JAKARTA - A sports car manufacturer from Germany, Porsche obtained 146,391 mobile shipments to customers worldwide throughout the first half of 2025, a decrease of 6 percent compared to the previous year's score.

Nevertheless, the growth of brand electrification vehicles recorded positive growth by contributing 36.1 percent of total sales with 23.5 percent of them are pure EVs and 12.6 percent are plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) cars.

The strongest growth among the six model lines presented by Porsche was recorded by Tigers up to 15 percent which was followed by the Panamera model, which increased 13 percent compared to the previous year.

A fully electric-powered tiger made a significant contribution to our proportion of electric cars, said Porsche AG's top line for Sales and Marketing, Matthias Becker, quoted from the brand's official website, Wednesday, July 9.

Tigers currently available in the EV variant are making sales of 45,137 units globally, up 15 percent. This result was followed by another SUV line, namely Cayenne, amounting to 41,873 units, down 23 percent compared to the previous one.

Ranking the top three, the 911 model earned total sales of up to 25.608 units during the first six months of this year, although it fell by 6 percent compared to the previous year's gains.

The next best-selling model during January to June 2025 was Panamera which was delivered to customers by 14,975 units, an increase of up to 13 percent.

Meanwhile, the 718 Boxster and Cayman models recorded combined sales results of 10,496 units or 12 percent less than before. This is mainly due to limited model availability due to EU cybersecurity regulations and production of the series will be suspended gradually in the late quarter of this year.

The North American market became Porsche's biggest contributor in the first six months of 2025 by obtaining 43,577 units (up 10 percent), then Europe amounted to 35,381 units (down 8 percent), and foreign markets and other developing countries with a total of 30,158 units (up 10 percent).
