Polytron Electric Car Built In Handal, Plans To Build Its Own Factory

JAKARTA - PT Hartono Istana Teknologi or Polytron officially launched its first electric car in Indonesia, the model in question is Polytron G3 and G3+ and assembly in Indonesia.

Polytron Commercial Director Tekno Wibowo said that currently the company is producing the electric car at Handal Indonesia Motor. Indeed, Handal is the headquarters of several manufacturers who have not yet set up their own factories.

"The current assembly facility is still collaborating with PT Handal," said Tekno, when met in the Central Jakarta area, Tuesday, May 6.

Although still using Handal facilities, brands that are also successful with electric motors plan to build their own assembly plant. Tekno said investment started with other equipment.

added Tekno, he said that later the factory itself will be built for the production of electric cars and electric motors which are currently being marketed in Indonesia. Unfortunately, he did not explain in more detail when the factory construction began.

"Yes, if possible as soon as possible. The more sales, the faster the factory will be established," he said.

Closer to Polytron's first electric car, the strong challenger MG ZS EV comes with a modern design, its exterior offers a stylish impression both from the front, side to back.

Polytron G3 and G3+ are equipped with a 150 kW electric motor (equivalent to 201 dk) and a 320 Nm torque. Acceleration of 0100 km/hour is claimed in just 9.6 seconds, with a maximum speed of up to 150 km/hour.

This electric car is capable of traveling a distance of up to 402 km in one charge, this figure is based on CLTC calculations. Numbers that are indeed similar to several electric cars that have arrived in Indonesia.
