Mercedes-Benz Will Build A New Model In The US In 2027, GLC?

JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz plans to assemble new vehicles in the United States (US), precisely built on the Tuscaloosa assembly line.

Launching from Carscoops, Friday, May 2, this luxury German automotive brand describes its latest model in the "core" segment. This means that it is likely that the car will occupy the medium market in Uncle Sam's country.

According to the report, Mercedes-Benz will start producing the car in 2027. In addition, this one model is described as adjusting preferences for US customers.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer with the "three-point star" logo did not mention in detail the model. However, it is possible that this car is a GLC that will soon be assembled locally in the US.

There is a possibility that Mercedes-Benz will localize GLC production in the US to avoid import rates set by President Donald Trump. Furthermore, the SUV ranks second in the list of best-selling models of this brand in the country of thousands of Washington DC.

Currently, Mercedes-Benz GLC has been assembled in various countries including Germany, China, Thailand, Malaysia, to Indonesia.

Moderate SUVs have become global products of Mercedes-Benz and are offered in several engine variants, ranging from 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbo and non-turbo consisting of options for petroleum, diesel, mid-hybrid, to plug-in hybrid (PHEV).

The car also comes in the AMG variant with a choice of GLC 43 with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that distributes a combined 435 hp and 700 Nm torque power as well as the GLC 63 option with the same runway heart, providing a larger output of 671 hp and 1.020 Nm torque.
