JAKARTA - In the midst of the onslaught of automotive brands from China, Mini also does not want to be less competitive in the electric vehicle segment in Indonesia by offering three models.

The British automotive brand has offered All Electric Mini Cooper 3-door and All Electric Mini Countryman which debuted in mid-year ago and introduced All Electric Mini Aceman afterwards.

The three models also strengthen brand commitments in offering environmentally friendly vehicles both in Indonesia and globally which are also in line with the vision of the parent company, BMW Group.

Among the three models, which Mini product has a lot of interest in Indonesia?

Operation General Manager Plaza MINI, Arie Herawan said Cooper 3-door is still the most favorite for consumers in Indonesia.

"From a historical point of view, Cooper 3-door is the most iconic and even until now this model is still the favorite for Indonesian consumers with the largest volume contributor," said Arie when met by reporters in the middle of the 2025 Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 29.

He also explained that All Electric Cooper 3-door dominates by contributing about 40 percent of the total electric vehicle lines offered by Mini in the country.

"Volume for Cooper 3-door can be around 40-50 percent," added Arie.

Two other models such as All Electric Countryman followed in second place and All Electric Aceman in last place by contributing about 25 percent of each volume.

"The rest of Countryman and Aceman contribute around 25 percent each," explained Arie.

All Electric Mini Cooper 3-door is marketed nationally with a price tag of IDR 1.117 billion, with a distance of up to 402 km armed with a 54.2 kWh battery.

Meanwhile, the All Electric Mini Countryman arrived at the Indonesian market with a price of Rp1.472 billion armed with a 66.5 kWh battery which has a range of 433 km.

The latest model from the Mini brand in Indonesia, All Electric Mini Aceman is set at IDR 1.170 billion. Replacing the Clubman model, this car has a 54.2 kWh battery which can provide a distance of 407 km in one full charge.
