Everest Or Ranger? This Is The Best-selling Ford Model In Indonesia

JAKARTA - RMA Indonesia currently only sells two Ford models for the country's market, namely Everest and Ranger. These two models offer a tough performance and a variety of different needs.

Just offering two models in Indonesia, which Ford product is the best-selling product in the national market arena?

Indonesian RMA Country Manager, Toto Suharto said the Everest model was the best-selling by contributing 60 percent share and the Ranger in the double-cabin pickup segment contributed 40 percent.

"What we see today, Everest dominates with 60 percent. Meanwhile, 40 percent is the Ranger," Toto said when met at a breaking fast with the media in Kebayoran, Jakarta, Monday, March 10.

He assessed that the car received good reception at the Indonesian market because it offered the toughness of combined with convenience, so it was very suitable for both long-distance and close travel purposes.

"Everest is not only tough, but offers comfort. It can be used remotely or closely, especially in terms of comfort, it's very comfortable to drive on its own," added Toto.

In the national market, RMA Indonesia as Ford's sole brand-holding agent (ATPM) offers two variants on Everest, namely Titanium and XLT, which have a number of different advantages.

These two variants are offered with the same engine, namely a 4-cylinder diesel engine with a bi-turbo alert that produces 210 ps of power at 3,750 rpm and a 500 Nm torque. This is coupled to a practical transmission of ten automatic accelerations.

The Titanium variant Everest offers more advanced safety and security systems such as Pre-Collition Assist, Evasive Steer Assist, Reverse Brake Assist, and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross Traffic Alert.

Speaking of prices, Titanium-type Ford Everest is priced at IDR 969 million and XLT type is IDR 825 million. All prices include On The Road Jakarta.
