BYD Launches Advanced Driving System, Will Be Implemented By All Car Models

JAKARTA - BYD, a well-known Chinese manufacturer, launched an advanced driving assistance system called 'God's Eye', which allows every BYD car equipped with high-end smart driving technology.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Tuesday, February 11, the presence of this advanced driving assistance system is to continue to compete with various other brands that have implemented the same thing. Interestingly, this new system comes in three variants or three classifications.

BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu revealed that currently BYD has 110,000 engineers and 5,000 of them are intelligent driving R&D engineers, so it's no wonder BYD will continue to compete to provide the best experience for users.

Continued to the ADAS 'God's Eye' aid system comes in three classifications, for the first or called entry level C. The system will depend on the three camera cluster located behind the windshield. As a startup-level ADAS system, God's Eye C will be adopted by cars with BYD brands. This perception system will be supported by the DiPilot 100 system with a 100 TOPS peak computing power.

Another hardware from this classification C covers 12 cameras, 5 mm wave radar, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The 12 cameras consist of 3 front-view cameras, 5 panoramas cameras, and 4 cameras looking around. The five mm wave radar provides a 360-degree non-matic angular perception, the front radar has a detection distance of 300 meters. The accuracy of the 12 ultrasonic radar sensors is 1 cm, and the parking accuracy is 2 cm.

Meanwhile, this classification B provides LiDAR sensors to increase the perception of car driving assistance systems. This will power Denza and Fang Cheng Bao's car, which will later be supported by the DiPilot 300 system with a computing 300 TOPS.

In addition, classification A will adopt three LiDARs supported by the DiPilot 600 system with a computing power of 600 TOPS. This system will drive the vehicle under the luxury brand BYD, Yangwang.

Wang Chuanfu also said all BYD models would be equipped with this new rock drive system, including BYD Seagull, BYD Qin Plus DM-i, and BYD Seal 05 DM-i models with price tagpers below 100,000 yuan or around Rp224 million.
