Jetour Will Launch Luxury Offroad Vehicles, Ready To Challenge Jeep To Land Rover

Chery plans to launch a new series of luxury offroad vehicles from the Jetour brand, which will officially arrive on January 22.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Friday, January 17, the luxury offroad vehicle model was presented to compete with the Chinese Tank brand and also several other brands such as Jeep and Land Rover.

The Chinese brand itself has registered three new off-road vehicle models, ranging from Jetour G900, Jetour G700, and Jetour F700, also known as Jetour Zhongheng.

There are no details regarding the luxury offroad model, but when referring to the Chinese market where Chery partnered with Jaguar Land Rover for the Freelander brand, the model presented later cannot be underestimated.

Jetour itself is a brand under the Chery Holding Group which was founded in 2018. The brand has produced crossover models to SUVs. This brand also collaborates with Luxeed and Huawei to provide the experience of high-end luxury brands.

Previously, Deputy General Manager of Chery Automobile Li Xueyong, had revealed that Jetour itself would launch four light off-road vehicles, with three off-road vehicle models and one luxury.

This Chinese brand is already present in Indonesia with two mainstay models, namely X70 Plis and Dashing. The company also plans to present its other ranks of vehicles, both BEV and PHEV, and target the off-road market.

"Jetour will present off-road vehicles, or off-road series starting with the T2 model in 2025," said Vice President of Jetour International Kevin Xu Haifeng.

"Currently we are building a super hybrid off-road platform. Based on this platform, we can develop light off-road vehicles, off-road families," he added.
