Honda Products Sold 1.4 Million Units In The US During 2024, Dominated By SUV Segments

JAKARTA - American Honda reported that its sales in the United States (US) during 2024 were 1,423,857 units, an increase of 8.8 percent. This achievement consists of Honda and Acura brand products.

Auto Sales Vice President American Honda Motor Co Inc, Lance Woelfer said the achievement was achieved thanks to the strengthening of demand in various segments including rising electrification.

"We have received strong demand in 2024, including record sales of small truck pickups, Hybrid Electric Vehicles, and Battery Electric Vehicles, a direct reflection of our commitment to meeting current customer demands, even as we look to the future of electricity," Woelfer said on the company's official website, Tuesday, January 7.

Brand Honda recorded sales results of 1,291,490 units of total or an increase of 11.1 percent compared to the previous year's score. The SUV dominated by posting more than 760,000 units.

The CR-V model remains the best-selling for Uncle Sam's country market with a sales book of 402,791 units (up 11.4 percent), followed by Civic totaling 242,005 units (up 20.8 percent), and Accord with a total of 162,723 units (down 17.8 percent).

Meanwhile, HR-V is in the top five of Honda's best-selling products in the US with 151,468 units, up 23.9 percent, and Pilots with 141,245 units, an increase of 28.1 percent.

In the electrification segment, CR-V Hybrid remains the main choice of state consumers with the Washington DC capital with 203,366 units (up 3.1 percent), followed by the Hybrid Accord of 83,237 units (down 13.6 percent), and the Civic Hybrid of 21,951 units.

Honda's first pure electric vehicle (EV), Prologue, made its brilliant debut in 2024 with 33,017 units sold successfully.

The Acura brand division contributed 132,367 sales units throughout 2024, down to 9.1 percent with the MDX model being the best-selling with 50,112 units, down 13.6 percent.

Then, RDX is in second place with a total of 42,988 units, an increase of 8.9 percent and an Integra of up to 24,398 units, down 24 percent.

His first electric vehicle (EV), Acura ZDX also book positive results throughout 2024 with 7,391 units sold successfully.
