Just Launched A Few Months, BMW X3 Latest Experienced Suspension Problems In The US

JAKARTA - BMW introduced the latest generation of X3 in June featuring various revolutionary changes ranging from more contemporary exterior designs, premium interiors, to the presence of leading technology.

But not even one year of his debut, this fourth generation of X3 is facing worrying problems and has the potential to endanger its owners in the United States (US).

Carscoops reported, Friday, December 13, found a problem with the hub playing the suspension. This component is useful in attached to all parts of the front suspension and rotating with wheels.

Technicians found the left turn hub installed inappropriately and the holes in the aluminum mold of the buffer were too large. The report says the problem stems from a failure at assembly.

If the problem is left alone, the error can cause the components to crack and have an impact on the handling and control elements of this SUV. What's even worse, these problems can cause the driver to crash.

Fortunately, only two cars were affected so the handling would be carried out quickly. The German automotive manufacturer identified the issue on the assembled car on November 7 and had notified local dealers on December 5.

However, BMW has not contacted the affected owner until January. The owner had to bring their X3 in full replacement for the suspension carrier.

The fourth-generation BMW X3 is equipped with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder gasoline combined with a millid-hybrid 48V in the 20 xDrive variant, which can produce a maximum of 208 dk of power so that it can run from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.

For diesel machine lovers, the manufacturer also presents it with the option of a 4-cylinder 2.0 liter diesel engine in the 20d xDrive type so that it can issue 197 dk of power and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 7.7 seconds.

In the M50 xDrive variant as the highest, BMW gave him a 6-cylinder engine as fresh as M TwinPower Turbo combined with a millid-hybrid 48V that produces a peak power of 398 dk. Thus, this car can run from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

All variants are offered with transmission of eight Steptronic accelerations, including the middle shift behind the steering wheel as a standard. There is also a Sport Boost feature on M50 xDrive in an extraordinary speed increase.
